The Vintage Tea Party Book
A complete guide to hosting your very own tea party.
Since her stand out appearance on ‘Dragons Den’ Angel Adoree has gone on to establish herself as successful business lady, with a vintage twist of course.
Having set up The Vintage Patisserie next up for Angel is her first (and I’m sure not last) book, The Vintage Tea Party Book.
Tell us about your book?
The book is a reflection of the journey I go on to create the perfect Tea party. The heart of the book is actually about food capturing high tea at different times of the day, but it’s more than that. When we host tea it’s about exciting the senses and smiling. You will find craft’s such as making a union flag with a stencil of the queen. Alongside tips on how to find your perfect location and do your hair for the event! It’s the complete story.
Why did you decide to write about this subject?
My Business, the Vintage Patisserie, hosts Vintage Tea Parties and the time feels right to share the knowledge.
What do you love most about writing?
Even though I wrote this book I wouldn’t really describe myself as a writer. I’m more of a cook and host.
When I decided to write the book and share my journey, everyone wanted to help me, as I’m dyslexic and find reading and writing difficult. So it really goes to show, if you write from your heart, you can achieve anything!
Finish this sentence…I wish I’d written…?
You have the opportunity to meet any author past or present who would it be and why?
Isabella Mary Mayson - Mrs Beeton’s Book of Household Management.
Isabella wrote this around 1860! Every domestic goddess will always be the new Mrs Beeton. She was the first and certainly the most famous!
