Pop Up Store
A Jimi Hendrix pop up store opened in Soho in celebration of the release of People, Hell and Angels.
It's a new album premièring twelve previously unreleased studio recordings completed by the guitarist Jimi Hendrix.
The store was open for a limited time only from Monday 1st April - Friday 12th April 2013 at 8 Ganton Street London, just off the fashionably famous Carnaby Street.
There was a chance to meet Janie L. Hendrix, Jimi Hendrix's sister and President/CEO of Experience Hendrix, L.L.C., when she made a special appearance at the store, signing copies of the new book Jimi Hendrix: The Ultimate Lyric Book.
Music photographer, Gered Mankowitz, also attend the store from 3-6pm on Saturday 6th April.
He talked about working with Jimi Hendrix, and signed prints of his work, which were exclusively printed for the pop up store.
In the basement area you could attend 'Plug & Play demo stations' taught by Fender.
There could practice your guitar skills and attend 'Jimi Hendrix Master Classes' where you learnt to play Hendrix riffs and licks.
The store also sold authorised limited edition Jimi Hendrix merchandise, including clothing, posters, art, books, collectible items, and guitar accessories including pick tins, guitar straps, and effects pedals.
Special merchandise pieces that were created for the store was available to buy.
The pop store featured a photography exhibition.

Exhibition: Jimi Hendrix by Eddie Kramer
Proud Camden is paying tribute to the creatively talented musician in the exhibition Jimi Hendrix by Eddie Kramer.
Record producer and photographer Eddie collaborated with the late singer and describes they time together “…as a roller coaster of intensity that never stopped”
